A question I'd love to hear your thoughts on...
are there any examples of brands being built from $0 to $100m with programmatic alone?
Across DTC, there are various stories of iconic brands being built. Gymshark honed in on influencer marketing and then Facebook ads.
Warby Parker and Dollar Shave Club built dollar brands through Google Ads with killer copy and a standout product.
Are there any examples of programmatic building brands from the ground up? And if not, why?
An obvious reason I'd put this down to is the barriers to entry. You can’t just log in to a DSP and start spending. There’s a significant learning curve and you either need to invest in people or pay a fee to your agency to be hands-on-keyboard.
Isn't the opportunity for DTC & Startups to appear in front of your target audience across premium, trusted, news sites and on the big screen across users' favourite content, one which more companies should be taking advantage of to grow?
As someone who has a lot of connections in the programmatic space, would love to hear your thoughts in the comments or offline if you prefer.
