We're witnessing the largest creativity crisis in human history and most people don't even know it's happening.

Oxford researchers have revealed that in May 2025, AI-generated content hit 48% of the internet. The projections show this could be as high as 90% by next year.

We're choosing easy and cheap over what's right. AI content costs pennies. Human writers can't compete with free.

What happens if this happens to music and video next?

Remember making photocopies of photocopies in school? How each generation got fuzzier, darker, less readable?

That's what's happening to the entire internet. At scale.

It's called model collapse. When AI trains on AI-generated content, it's like inbreeding for algorithms. The gene pool shrinks. Unique perspectives vanish. Everything converges to beige.

Today's ChatGPT article becomes tomorrow's training data. Which produces worse content. Which becomes next week's training data.

Recursive mediocrity.

The rare ideas, the contrarian takes, the human quirks that make content worth reading, they're being averaged out of existence.

We're not just losing quality. We're losing diversity of thought.

In advertising, we've seen this movie before. When digital took over, suddenly everyone was buying the same inventory, using the same targeting, creating the same bland ads.

The difference is bad ads just waste money. Bad content erases culture. So what do we do?

The same thing we've always done when technology threatens to flatten everything into sameness.

We double down on what machines can't replicate.

Stories only we can tell. Connections only we can forge. Tribes only we can build.

The messy, contradictory, beautifully human perspectives that no algorithm can fake.

Because when the internet becomes a photocopy of a photocopy, the original becomes priceless.

In a world drowning in synthetic content, authenticity isn't just valuable.

It's the only currency left.
