The one thing nobody dares to do in London?
Talk to strangers.
But the other week, we did exactly that.
We hit the streets of London with a camera and a mission: ask people deeper questions, the kind you don’t usually hear in passing conversation.
Within minutes, strangers were opening up about some of the hardest moments in their lives… and how they overcame them.
Their answers were raw, honest, and unexpectedly beautiful.
And this is exactly why we’re building Firepit.
Because beneath all the noise, what we’re really craving isn’t more content, it’s connection.
We’re getting close to launching the second version of Firepit, this time on the App Store. We’ve been reworking our content, redesigning the app, and reimagining how we can help people actually connect.
The ultimate goal is to spark better conversations and help people feel a little less alone.
This clip isn't ready to go onto our social media platforms yet, it needs a bit of work, but when I received this and a few others back from our video editor, it put a smile on my face.
It reminded me how many beautiful moments are happening all around us, every single day, and how often we walk past them without even knowing.
We should celebrate the small things, we too often let life pass us by without stopping for a moment of reflection.
Life moves pretty fast... if you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you might miss it.
Exciting times are ahead, we’re launching on the App Store soon, with a summer full of filming, storytelling, and community-building.
But more than that, we’re on a mission to shine a light on the loneliness epidemic in big cities, and spark more meaningful human connection.
So here’s a question we’ve been asking everyone lately:
What’s one great thing that’s happened to you recently?
