AI isn't the future. It's the present.

Every day, tools, products, and services powered by AI are entering the marketplace.

It's no longer a distant concept, but rather a technology that is actively transforming and improving our lives.

Listening to Jason Calacanis interview Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn & PayPal), Brain Chesky (AirBnB), and Aaron Leview (Box), there’s a growing consensus among tech CEOs that AI will be able to handle at least 30% of white-collar work very soon.

This will ultimately lead to productivity as we’ve never seen before within organisations.

And it won’t be the first time that industries have been transformed through revolutionary tools.

In the 19th century, around 40% of the population worked in agriculture.

Farmers relied on tedious, manual labour.

Then machines came along and changed everything.

Now, just 0.6% of the population works in agriculture.

This was made possible by tools changing the way we work for the better, with improved efficiency and productivity.

I see a future in the next 5 years where every company has its own version of ChatGPT, being able to store business files, meeting summaries, customer feedback, and industry insights.

An automated Personal Assistant who understands the context, the ask, and can then carry out the task.

Exponential progress is being made on a daily basis, and this reality will happen sooner than most think.

Every company now needs to be a technology company to stay competitive in the digital world.

AI will allow for significant improvements to operations, output, and reductions in costs.

Right now, every company needs to be exploring these technologies, the possibilities of AI, and how it will impact industries.

Change, as scary as it is in this instance, is inevitable.

Growth is optional.

If you don’t try to make sense of the change by diving into it, you’ll be left behind.

Testing the latest and greatest AI tools is never-ending.

I’m currently paying over £100 a month on AI subscriptions to help improve my understanding of what’s possible now and will be in the future.

I’m not yet relying on any of these tools for day-to-day use, but there are a lot of user cases starting to appear, where I can see how these tools will improve the work I do, and the efficiency of it.

While I agree, the future of AI is as concerning as it is promising.

One thing is for sure… innovation never stops.

AI isn't going to replace people, but the people using it will.
