Companies freeze the same way they grow

Elon Musk sent every Tesla employee a memo that took authority away from their managers and handed it to them.

When I found this email, I thought it was too good to not share.

Musk: "Excessive meetings are the blight of big companies and almost always get worse over time."

In most companies, its nobody job is to remove process - so it never gets removed.

Water and ice are the same molecules. Ice just has every particle locked into fixed bonds with its neighbours, which is why it takes up more space and does less.

Freezing doesn't add anything to water. It takes energy out.

Companies freeze the same way as the grow, more structure gets mistaken for more control.
