In 10 years, there’s no chance that we'll still be hunched over a small rectangle of black glass as our portal to the digital world.

This video gives us a glimpse into the future.

Augmented and virtual reality will break us free from the constraints of mobile screens, offering truly immersive experiences beyond a tiny screen.

In 1984 when Apple introduced the first ever personal computer with a mouse, the Lisa, at $10,000, most could not afford it.

Just 8.2% of US households owned a personal computer.

In 2023, it was 93.3%. Mainstream adoption did not happen overnight.

The same will happen with mixed reality.

As a new computing revolution unfolds, we’ll witness the rise of apps and platforms we can’t yet envision—just as Uber, Airbnb, and Instagram emerged in the mobile era.

What will be the platform for augmented reality or virtual reality content?

It’s unlikely to be Instagram or TikTok; history shows us, that new content formats typically lead to new innovative platforms.

Three-dimensional, immersive digital worlds will change consumer behaviours.

The next social network may well look more like Minecraft or Roblox than Instagram or Facebook, and categories from fitness to gaming and collaboration at work could be truly reinvented.

We’re still in the early days, but the shift to immersive content is decades in the making. We already know what comes next, it’s just a question of how quickly.

The way we work, live, and play is about to change forever.
